About
About Common Office
The corporate translation of everyday life.
Common Office is an independent design project created in Paris. We turn ordinary routines into unofficial departments, structured documents and visual objects.
Every piece starts with the same idea: take everyday life seriously enough to organize it — then let real life interfere.
THE IDEA
Everyday life is full of departments that don’t officially exist.
Meal preparation. Domestic logistics. Remote operations. Strategic thinking.
Common Office gives them names, schedules, responsibilities and final directives — then turns them into carefully designed unofficial documents, made to be noticed, read and lived with.
Common Office doesn’t bring the office home. It turns home into the office.
THE SYSTEM
01 - DEPARTMENT
Everyday life becomes an organization.
02 - DOCUMENTATION
Schedules, responsabilities and final directives. Everything is formally recorded.
03 - INCIDENT
Real life eventually... interferes.
Common Office starts with structure. Everyday routines are organised, documented and designed with the visual discipline of an official document. Then something happens — a note, a stain, a scribble, an interruption. The system remains. Real life leaves its mark.
